Katelyn Mae Ferry is a Partner at and Founding Member of Cambo Ferry, PLLC. Ms. Ferry has practiced exclusively insurance defense litigation since 2014 and has focused her practice on the areas of first and third-party insurance coverage and defense. Ms. Ferry represents clients in all stages of defense, including the investigative phase, pre-litigation, appraisal, and litigation regarding claims for windstorm, water, hurricane, fire, mold, and theft, including suspected fraud. She frequently conducts examinations under oath, provides coverage opinions and analysis, responds to civil remedy notices and notices of intent to initiate litigation, and represents insurers through all stages of litigation, including trial.
Ms. Ferry is frequently consulted by her clients to assist in all aspects of their business, including drafting and creating internal workflows, revising and submitting policy language to the OIR, and preparing internal claim handling templates.
Ms. Ferry has testified before the Florida legislature on topics such as one-way attorneys’ fees, bad-faith, and repeal of AOBs. She regularly presents on these topics at both state and national conferences and has also authored several articles on these topics. She is extremely invested in the defense bar and furtherance of stabilizing the Florida insurance market.
Ms. Ferry graduated with Honors from the University of Central Florida in 2007 with a major in Political Science and a minor in Legal Studies. She earned her law degree as a presidential merit scholar at Stetson University College of Law in 2012, where she was a member of the Moot Court Board and Phi Delta Phi Honor Society.
Ms. Ferry lives in Longwood, Florida with her husband and two children. She enjoys hiking, leisure reading, nearly all outdoor activities, and is active in her church.
